Led corporate and commercial strategy including licensing and M&A. Led all aspects of the exclusive license of leading CNS myelin platform (BrainSim) from Johns Hopkins. Led all deal aspects of the acquisition of essentially all of the assets of Vyant Bio ($VYNT) to establish AxoSim as the premier player in the neurological MPS field.

Principal inventor on Bioceptive's technologies. The platform device, a gentle suction-based device to replace the cervical tenaculum received FDA 510(k) clearance. The Bioceptive IUD Insertion System is in clinical testing currently.Oversaw R&D efforts internally and with development partners, managed clinical research, helped maintain day to day operations, and extensively concentrated on fundraising activities.

President of the NA3RsC for 2021 (2020 VP and 2019 VP-Elect)Co-launched the NA3RsC MPS Initiative, the first MPS industry consortium with mission to advance the science and adoption of MPS technology in the area of drug discovery and development- currently ~30 member companies (technology providers and biopharma) and growing.

Ben worked in several capacities within the laboratory of the renowned adult stem cell bioengineer, James L. Sherley, MD, PhD, and wrote his thesis, Analysis and Automation of the Quantification of Asymmetric Self Renewal Kinetics of Human Hepatic Stem Cells, based upon his research there.
