I'm a graphic designer. I've been doing it for a while now. I used to 'repackage' my mum's food in our larder by covering the tins with sticky-back paper and drawing pictures of the contents on them. Then I grew up a bit and got a picture published in TRANSFORMERS comic - it won me Bumblebee. I was happy.School was a bit of a shock but I got through it by copying the best pages from my Batman comics into my physics exercise book. It's fair to say my tutor didn't appreciate my work.College introduced me to Graphic Design, Typography, RayGun magazine (I pinched the last ever David Carson issue from the library - I'm not sorry), my inability to cook anything other than noodle soup and burgers, charity shopping, PULP, the joyfully named Omnicrom machine, Apple Macintosh and a load of wonderful and inspirational people.Working has been an interesting affair. Sometimes I love it. Sometimes I hate it. Like Summer. One thing I have discovered though, stick me in front of a computer with a design task to do and I'll be as happy as Larry*.So, to recap. I love designing stuff. I take an interest in what's going on around me (not just designy things). I'm dogged and I don't wander off. I drink too much tea and have yet to be anything other than hungry. I have an unhealthy obsession with spinning clay on a wheel and if you say the name 'Bowie' at me I'll sit up and pay attention.I'm also a fairly half-arsed cyclist, ski like a monster and am insomniac.*My grandfather's name was Larry. He was a happy man.
