My main duties included planning, preparation and delivery of lessons for the class whilst taking into consideration the diverse needs of all learners. There was a particular pupil with challenging needs and from the first day, it was apparent that I would need to be adaptable in my teaching approaches. I researched information on attachment disorder and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD) and with the advice of my DHT implemented strategies to enable inclusion for the pupil. My sales assistant position involved working with all age/gender and level of knowledge of the customer. This was an extremely fast-paced role, especially around festive periods and midnight releases which could have a maximum of 4 staff running the flagship store in Scotland. The role demanded high organisational skills, the ability to multitask, manage aggressive situations and be able to achieve upwards of 9 monthly targets. There were never commissions on any sale so providing the best customer experience was my top priority. Due to my successfulness at being able to control such situations as money management/cashing up at night, working with others and exceeding every daily target I was given the chance to become a representative for Microsoft for all Scottish GAME stores. I would travel around the country training members of staff in the latest Microsoft product.
