A key responsibility is developing strategies to address the growing vaping challenge in Singapore, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, other government agencies, and relevant private organisations. This includes refining anti-vaping campaigns to address evolving societal issues and developing cessation programmes such as the "I Quit" initiative and Quitline for both adults and youth. In addition, I am exploring the development of a strategic plan that may incorporate elements of the Icelandic Prevention Model and Human Centred Design. This plan could include building an advocacy arm, involving individuals and organisations across various sectors, to amplify public health messages against smoking and vaping. The initiative may also involve creating a digital platform to support stakeholders in sharing information, advocating, and providing second-tier support services. These efforts would align with major campaigns, such as World No Tobacco Day, to collectively amplify the anti-smoking and anti-vaping message. Show less
