Benjamin Loh is the Head of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Monitoring Division and the Officer-in-Charge of the ASCC Analysis and Monitoring Directorate at the ASEAN Secretariat. Based in Jakarta, he oversees the Community’s work on identifying and monitoring emerging and current trends and policy-relevant issues, and the monitoring and evaluation of the ASCC Blueprint implementation. Prior to ASEAN Secretariat, he was a Senior Fellow at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore where he led the Regional Social and Cultural Studies Programme on Southeast Asia. A Singapore national, he holds a PhD from University of Cambridge, M.A. from University of Warwick, and a B.Soc.Sci. from the National University of Singapore.
