Developed 5G MEC strategy with telco partners focusing on AI/ML use cases at the edge0-to-1 ramp into a security PM role to help unblock Google Cloud Distributed Edge product launch in March 2022.Laid out a clear executable roadmap to bring Google-level security to customer edge deployments. This included a fundamental shift in the security posture to better suit customer workloads running on the customer edge.

Responsible for the full Nest camera software stack from on-device AI/ML to camera cloud to the end-user experience on the Nest and Home Apps (both iOS and Android).Launched a new generation of battery-powered Nest cameras in 2021.Ground-up development of new object detection features (animal & vehicle) along with updates to existing features (e.g. new package-in-transit).Implementation of these new and existing ML algos on-camera instead of the cloud. On-camera Familiar Faces processing and storage of face biometrics result in better customer privacy.Close collaboration with engineering and UX to define precision/recall success criteria.Developed detailed camera-to-mobile-app latency metrics with UX/UXR in order to deliver a best-in-class camera experience at scale. Introduced the new camera user experience (notifications, video playback, settings) on the Google Home app.Hands-on engagement with dogfood users to understand UX issues & gaps. Developed multiple dogfood surveys throughout the dogfood process to make product decisions in a data-driven manner.

Founded the Transfer Appliance start-up within the GCP organization. Super scrappy initiative in partnership with a technical program manager and a couple of external vendors. Built an internal logistics and support team from scratch along with tooling on Salesforce. Shipped Transfer Appliance into production in 2018 as GCP’s first hardware product. Built an engineering team (again from scratch) to execute on the longer term roadmap. Wrote the original PRD that resulted in Google Filestore.Bootstrapped the Storage Transfer Service team and expanded the feature portfolio to include online on-prem-to-GCS transfers.
