A brief step out of my regular position to lead an ambitious and enthusiastic team to design the Microsoft 365 and Azure AD environments and commence the migration to Microsoft 365 for CSR. The team supported our users and heavily focused on maximising adoption of the product suite. I devised an adoption program and facilitated OCM workshops to drive the use of Office 365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint Online. CSR achieved rapid adoption as a result, and the take up of Microsoft Teams prepared CSR users well in advance for working from home seamlessly and effectively once the realities of COVID-19 became apparent.

Worked as a senior member of the Infrastructure Solutions team, made up of highly talented individuals and led by an inspiring leadership team. Reviewed requirements and implemented a broad array of technologies based on business demand and IT infrastructure needs.Designed and implemented enterprise IT solutions such as SAN storage (HP XP24000/P9000, HP EVA8400), VMware ESXi , Microsoft Exchange 2007, Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager (engaged with Microsoft as the tech lead for two TAP programs), Windows 7 architecture (project architect), and various business specific applications.Assumed the role of tech lead in a real disaster situation, failing over to the disaster recovery datacentre and working closely with vendors to ensure minimum downtime for the business. Took ownership of the disaster recovery procedures post incident and redefined the approach and recovery strategies to further improve CSR’s resilience to disaster. Integrated technologies as part of business acquisitions, including the integration and virtualisation of an ERP system.

Lead a dynamic team of four server and desktop engineers. Plan and implement Windows based technology for the Asia Pacific region (580 users/23 sites) with dotted-line reports from resources in New Zealand and Asia.Primarily responsible for the support and maintenance of the Australian server and network infrastructure and unified communications systems (38 servers)Provide 3rd level support for the Asia Pacific region. Provide global ‘follow the sun’ support for the Exchange 2003/messaging infrastructure (4700 users worldwide).
