At Policy Connect, I led on all work in the manufacturing and industrial space. I directly managed the All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group (APMG) and delivered a series of roundtables and events to develop new policy ideas, critique existing government decision-making and help the manufacturing community better engage with the policy process. I created impact by drafting Parliamentary questions, debate briefings and submitting evidence to select committee inquiries to further the cause of manufacturing in policy making. I also wrote for a range of publications, including broadsheet, online and sector press with one of my articles being recognised as the top editorial contribution of 2019 by The Manufacturer magazine.In addition, I coordinated the work of the Manufacturing Commission, working with the Chair Lord Bilimoria CBE DL and inquiry Commissioners to create high impact research into key issues facing the sector, which was then used to improve policy making for UK manufacturing.

At Make UK, I headed the regional external affairs programme, working to raise the profile and influence of both the organisation and its members by driving engagement with policy makers, regional decision making bodies and the media. I connected the Westminster Policy team with members to enable dialogue to ensure members experiences were fed into Westminster policy work.I developed and delivered a programme of networking events which enabled best practice sharing and business collaboration. I also managed the Regional Advisory Board (regional council) and other interest groups; scheduling meetings, planning agendas and inviting relevant stakeholders and members.

I created content and copy for a range of mediums from press releases to social media and liaised with clients to craft communication strategies tailored to their specific needs.

I monitored EU institutions and media channels, carried out data analysis, and produced client updates on salient policy developments. I wrote copy for various blogs, publications and releases, including a thought piece for a client's global government affairs magazine. I also worked closely with the digital team, utilising various social media platforms to achieve targeted results. I was chosen to support a client in organising and running a presence at a major international climate conference (COP 21) and was recognised for my commitment and the quality of my work and promoted to a Senior Role.
