Responsibilities:- preparation of technical drawings, modification bulletins, maintenance manuals, flight manuals, and technical assessments (engineering calculations and demonstrating compliance against aviation rules and regulations)- collaborate and liaison with colleagues (in office/remotely), and clients (aviation operators and maintenance providers) nationally- experience with FAA Part 23, 27, and 29 rules- developed and deployed a measurement method using motion tracking to track pilot control movements for flight testing.

UCM (University of Canterbury Motorsport) runs two teams, a Formula SAE team and a Shell Eco-Marathon Team. Which I have been part of the Formula SAE team for 2016 and 2017. and the Shell Eco-Marathon team for 2016.FSAE - UCM17 - 2017- airfoil analysis with ANSYS CFX to build a database of aerodynamic performance data of 4 digit NACA airfoils, which was used to select the most efficient airfoils for implementation on the front and rear wings- researching composite manufacturing techniques to improve the build quality of the aerodynamics package- designing molds and tooling for the new front wing- assisting the build of the complex front wing assembly through sanding, composites layup, finishing etc.FSAE - UCM16 - 2016- preliminary design of an impact attenuator- general hand with construction and testing.Shell Eco Marathon - Endurokiwi - 2016- design and build a 3D printed wing mirror- general hand with construction and testing.

I worked with them at their main hanger at Feilding Aerodrome for my practical work experience.- hands-on work with maintenance of a wide variety of aircraft ranging from piston-engined trainers to private jets - assisting with airframe inspections, hydraulic systems testing, engine test runs, piston and gas turbine engine inspections, engine disassembly and reassembly, and pyrotechnic disposal- worked in a fast-paced and highly safety conscious team- obtained general experience within the aviation industry.
