About Ben Cronkright

I have dedicated my career to implementing school improvement efforts and disrupting inequity in education at the classroom, school, district, and state-level. Fueled by a deep belief that lasting, systemic-change is only possible through the work of intentional collaboration, I build the capacities of mission-driven teams to accelerate learning for our most under-resourced schools and communities. I am incredibly passionate about all things Teaching & Learning, leveraging research, rapid cycles of evaluation, talent development, and a focus on continuous improvement to increase student outcomes. As a principal in Michigan, I led significant turnaround efforts resulting in our school receiving the state’s “Beating the Odds” School Recognition. During my time as an Academic Officer with the Hawaii Department of Education, I guided instructional leadership coaching activities to support continuous improvement cycles within a portfolio of low-performing public charter schools across the state. Since 2016, I have served as a consultant and senior manager of research practice partnerships with McRel International, working across four time zones and coaching education executives across multiple regions to identify learning gaps and scale excellent practices. These experiences have led to a deep understanding of what it takes to advance school development and innovate through shared and collective efforts. Areas of Expertise:Strategic Planning, Systems Change, School Improvement, Fiscal Management, Teacher Training and Development, Improvement Science, Stakeholder Engagement, Project Management, Program Management, Policy Implementation, Curriculum Instruction and Assessment Development, Continuous Improvement, Rapid Cycle Evaluation, Instructional Leadership, Instructional Coaching, Team Building, Partnership Development, Diversity Equity and Inclusion in Schools. Industry Expertise:Education and Public Administration
