As a founding director of Aptare Consulting, now merged with Opex Consulting, and an accomplished FM consultant focused on contract management and commercial compliance, I advise on the maintenance of large buildings and property portfolios such as schools, hospitals and offices. The objective is to ensure that those who maintain the building abide by contractual obligations and adhere to all statutory requirements. My expertise in procuring, auditing, managing and the divestment of FM contracts, especially in the PFI industry, adds value and vision.Through Aptare and now Opex, my experience in providing consultancy at strategic and tactical levels is informed by practical considerations. I can advise on the best way to maintain an entire property portfolio or to clean a single building, all of which is supported by my BREEAM life cycle and cost modelling expertise. I am a published academic author (with Emerald Insight) through my research article on ‘Inter-Organisational Relationship Trust Repair’. This genuine new research provides insight and consultancy advice into effective ways to manage breakdowns in trust between parties, aimed at Directors and CEOs. It delivers practical methods to prevent the spread of distrust and to rebuild trust.
