All I know is that I don't run the register--they never asked me to.Until the morning truck arrives, I face aisles and run backstock to ensure product rotation. When the truck does arrive, I clear the path for the person who will unload our pallets. I make sure all department storage areas are accessible, and meat, dairy, frozen, and deli have a cart ready to load.With the help of a few co-workers, I "stack off" the cold product pallets to each cart. The ice cream containers go in the deep freeze, for now.We unpack the frozen items, making sure to check dates and rotate stock. We collect the boxes and packaging neatly in a cart, taking care to never get in a customer's path and remembering to greet them and offer assistance.If I know the customer, I will ask about "the family."Frozen, dairy, and then back to ice cream.
