As an Inventory Manager I lead the development and execution of strategies and projects that optimized GPs indirect materials management operations and inventories. Key projects include $40M+ inventory optimization/working capital reduction across 20+ manufacturing facilities, RFID for MRO ERP integration development and implementation, multiple RPA Bots, back and front end development of multiple QlikSense Dashboards, Overstock Consumption Marketplace, SharePoint workflows, and general responsibility as an AssetSuite ERP SME.

As the Manager of the Storeroom I was accountable for leading a team of 11 unionized Warehouse Operations professionals and optimizing a $20M+ 30k SKU MRO inventory that supported a large fully integrated Pulp & Paper Mill.

As a Buyer for one of GP's large Pulp and Paper Mills my role was to work strategically with supply chain partners and mill customers to source and procure MRO goods and mill services at the lowest total cost of ownership.During this time I gained a strong understanding of procurement operations, including the procure to pay process, internal financial controls, supplier relationship management, PO automation, supply chain coordination/planning, scorecard development, and continuous improvement. Tools include MS Office Suite, Asset Suite, SAP MDM, Congos reports, MS Access.Additionally, I had the opportunity to learn about manufacturing operations, heavy industry maintenance, OSHA safety requirements, the pulping and paper making process, and towel/ tissue converting.

Collaborated with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Operations, internal IT, and our SAP MDM group to understand reporting needs and deliver related innovations to the analytical tools to enable optimal business decisions making.

I came to Penske as a college Senior studying Supply Chain & Logistics and quickly found that my prior experiences in warehouses, service operations, and retail sales all helped prepare me for this challenging, fast-paced, customer facing role. Balancing the needs of customers across 14 East Tennessee locations between the national and vehicle local fleet was certainly an exciting challenge. To be successful required a clear customer focus and the hard work, precise planning, and solid communication between the Sales, Management, and Maintenance teams.
