Lead engineering team responsible for innovative designs and end to end manufacturing solutions for high-end electro-optical aiming systems

Lead the North American product engineering team responsible for launching and maintaining the Monroe® shocks and struts brand within the $3.2B Motorparts business unit. Tasks include overseeing reverse engineering analysis, capital appropriation, testing, and product launch.COE (Center of Excellence) leader for manufactured product globally. Tasked with driving release efficiency through process, component, and design standardizations. Role includes global responsibility for all AM engineering design rules and specifications.

Lead 1/3rd of the OE North American core engineering team to manage all of the post launch OE customer ride control programs, as well as integrate product engineering within our 4 North American manufacturing plants. Inspect, test, and perform root cause analysis for all warranty and quality returns. Drive improvement within engineering, operations, and the quality teams by enhancing DFMEA's, design standards, PFMEA's, control plans, and inspection audits with lessons learned.Meet with all OE customers to understand and process post launch changes, such as retunes, cost reductions, and product enhancements.Work with a small team to define and implement TenPLUS launch management within North America Engineering, which was adopted by product engineering globally. This includes value stream mapping, identifying gaps, and actively working to close them for continuous improvement and standardization.

Lead a small but highly effective engineering team to devolop and release new innovative technologies in our Monroe, Heavy Duty, and Rancho product lines. Revamp the product release process in North America to get product out the door more quickly and efficiently. Work with all of our global aftermarket manufacturing plants to commonize our technological portfolio as we all as reduce logistic complexity on standard components.

Act as a liaison between the directors of aftermarket engineering, sales, and product management for the $33M Rancho Performance Suspension division of Tenneco. Set timing, hold meetings, and visit global facilities to drive product launches and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Developed new products and managed their release. This included initial design, testing, developing bill of material, releasing, and field advertising. Also provided tech line support for previously released products.

Developed shock valve codes for proper damping control on multiple applications. Also interfaced with customers and worked to meet their specific needs with the application engineering team.

Designed and repaired existing building mechanical systems. Took field measurements to draw current condition blue prints in CAD. Then spec'd pumps, air handlers, etc. for specific building needs. Made new construction blue prints and sent them out to bid.
