I am an engineering geologist and geomorphologist with a strong interest in the physical processes underpinning landslides and the environmental factors influencing their distribution. My work spans multiple disciplines, combining remote sensing techniques based on InSAR, innovative wireless technologies, fieldwork, and spatial analyses to detect and investigate slope instabilities through the interpretation of surface deformation.Currently I primarily focus on the development of new methods based on InSAR that draw from signal processing, ultimately enhancing landslide monitoring and precursory identification, both at regional and local scales.I have experience in working on projects in the Himalayas (Bhutan, Nepal) and the Andes (Peru), the aim of which is to produce results with real-world applications and to enhance resilience of vulnerable communities in the Global South. I have a strong background in meteorology and a keen interest in coastal and periglacial environments.
