I am a Journalism student at Tshwane University of Technology, currently doing my 2nd year as an undergraduate. I am a self-motivated, energetic, goal orientated person with a little bit of experience in print, online and broadcasting media. Some of the skills that I have acquired throughout my journey as a junior journalist and a Journalism student include: Writing for print and online media, writing for radio and television, editing of stories for television and radio, editing of video and audio, and politics analytical skills. I have contributed and written articles and opinion pieces for different online publications, namely; DUT Journalism Iziko, Weekly Xpose and Journal Express. Writing is a passion, but apart from writing, I have also contributed as a field reporter for Izwi Lomzansi 98.0 FM which is a Durban community radio station, where I worked as a freelancer, giving entertainment and sports updates, for a weekend 3-6pm drive show. I have also reported for TUT FM, which is a campus radio station, where I was reporting for TUT Live@12, a weekly Friday midday news bulletin.I am always open for learning, and a fast learner. I have the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. I always make sure that I come up with new ideas and I contribute hugely during team/group assignments. I thrive on coming up with solutions and reaching my goals and targets. I still want to gain more experience in the field of media and communications, and then help change the perspective of people towards media.
