I have three years teaching experience in both ‘O’ level Physics, Biology and Chemistry and ‘A’ level Chemistry in Ghana and teaching assistantship at the University of Cape Coast (Chemistry Dept.) in addition to four years full-time teacher of Science/Chemistry and Tutor at two geographically different mainstream secondary schools in Swindon and inner London with vastly different ratios of multi-cultural student populations. I have also taught very successfully Level 2 and 3 Science and Chemistry to Access to Nursing, Osteopathy, Life Sciences AS/A2, Applied AS and A2 Chemistry, GCSE IGCSE and handled teaching and learning responsibilities (TLR) with peer mentoring, curriculum management, subject coaching for eight years at Southwark College, City of Westminster College, and Leyton Sixth form College adding up to a 14 year teaching experience. I have been on many different short Insets ranging from ‘Teaching Science to EAL students’ Active Learning, Diagnostic assessments, SENDA, ‘Differentiation’, 'Safeguarding, ‘Behaviour for Learning’, ‘Raising Achievement in Schools’ to ‘Application of ICT in Science Teaching’ etc. I am very familiar with the OCR Cambridge/ Salters, AQA and Edexcel specification for BTECs, GCSE, AS and A2 levels . As an applied scientist in Food Safety, I have employed excellent food chemistry, analytical procedures and evaluative skills to make sound judgments and write reports that have improved production for some small scale food industries. I also possess valuable placement experience in industrial/ pharmaceutical laboratories as technician/dispensing chemist performing routine analysis of drugs in capsules, pills, tablets, weight variations, preparation of mixtures, buffers, suspensions etc, supervision and laboratory management .
