Profile bio

About Benet Davis

I am a Canadian heritage professional with a right to live and work in the UK whose interests are in human settlements past and present and cultural heritage conservation efforts. To pursue this interest I recently completed an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from Heriot-Watt University to add to my previous experience as a commercial archaeologist. As a commercial archaeologist in the UK, I worked as part of the planning system on a range of sites in England and Scotland belonging to diverse periods of human activity both urban and rural. Work involved all aspects of archaeological work from report writing to excavation to post-excavation analysis on local and nationally significant housing and infrastructure projects. I became proficient in conducting watching briefs, evaluations, excavations, processing environmental samples, and report writing. My other work experience has involved consistent and productive team environments and front-facing roles working with clients and customers in a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.

Listed skills include Historical Archaeology, Microsoft Office, Medieval History, Ancient History, and 23 others.
