Performed a research project examining the effects of diet and genetic imprinting on mouse colon development.Achieved further mastery of: RNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, histology and immunohistochemistry.Wrote up the research for class credit at UNC-CH.

Fostered a sense of community through encouraging teamwork with RAs and a group of 32 male and female residents; achieving the goal of making the residence hall feel like a home.As a returning RA, helping to keep the staff working cohesively during a transition through new leadership.
