Hi! I'm passionate about communicating the story of life on this planet and ensuring that we do something about human-mediated climate change. I do a few things:1) I'm a palaeontologist, and I primarily focus on the preparation, extraction, identification, and conservation of fossil cenozoic tetrapods from southern Australia. I am an expert preparator and conservator. I launch expeditions (both on land and underwater) along Victoria's coastline to recover scientifically important specimens for the state collection with citizen scientists. 2) In my role for the Parks Victoria, I'm communicating the science and conservation work that is conducted within the protected areas of Victoria. This includes creating articles, podcasts, videos, social media posts, EDMs and a bunch of other things. I'm an expert in utilizing digital platforms to communicate the evolution of life. I've collaborated and worked with major institutions in Melbourne, including Museums Victoria, Zoos Victoria, and numerous local councils. I regularly appear fortnightly on ABC radio having a chinwag on my passions. But in all honesty, I'd rather be under the water holding my breath and looking for fossils. Do I want to be a mer-man? Yes. Yes I do.
