I have loved my time with IMG from the moment I started on staff here. I have been entrusted with a lot of different and interesting opportunities, and I can tell a tangible difference in how much I have grown in my time here. I am a game day operations intern for all football, basketball, and baseball games at USC. I have been given countless other responsibilities across our other sports and properties. On game days I am working hours before kickoff to ensure our corporate sponsor’s tailgates are set up and well catered to during tailgate hours. Once games start my team and I are down on the field managing all of the in-game promotions. My favorite part about this fast-paced role is when I go to fans in their seats and let them know they are going to win an in game promotion. Their reactions are always priceless and I get to help make lifelong memories for them as we bring them down on the sideline, pick them to win great prizes, or put a camera shot of them on the jumbotron. The leadership, management, communication, and decision making skills that I have even further developed here have been invaluable, and I know that this experience will help me for years to come.

Being a lifelong Gamecock athletics fan, I decided to join the Gamecock Club as an intern for the Athletic Department to get a better grasp for what it looks like to work in the sports industry. I learned more about the inner workings of the business that works within a large university's athletic department. I worked with gamecock club members and donors on the phone and in person to ensure all their needs were met to maintain positive relationships.Once a week, we got to listen to different department leaders for the Athletic Department and had the chance to network and learn more about their story. Being able to continue my experience serving and working with people within athletics on a daily basis was an incredible experience that has grown me as a leader, communicator, and furthering developing my customer service skills.

I loved my time as an Orientation Leader. In this role I worked on a team of 55 to help welcome in over 6,000 incoming students during the summer of 2018. Being an OL I worked over 50 hours a week serving, mentoring, and guiding incoming students into their first year at USC. Some of my roles as an OL invovled leading small groups of 20-25 students for 2 days, building relationships with campus department leaders, and being a positive influence and role model for all students and guests. Working long hours in a dynamic, fast paced environment was challenging at times but strongly developed me as a professional and overall as a leader. This is an experience I would recommend to any USC student who wants to grow.
