During this time, the beginning of my third 'life transition', Buildrite Construction hired me as a part-time, traveling superintendent mostly for the remodeling of over 40 H&R Blocks around the Southeast. Managed construction projects during all phases, from site work to customer delivery – including scheduling, monitoring, tracking change orders, and inspecting all work, for the 19th-largest home builder in metro Atlanta. 2. Built working relationships with customers throughout the four-month process of building a semi-custom home from scratch, including informational walk-throughs that provided an understanding of basic construction processes. 3. Got this troubled subdivision with 112 homes (homes valued up to $380K) back on schedule. Addressed warranty issues; this dramatically improved the profitability of the subdivision. 4. Maintained close communication with sales team, to include updating contract amendments, addressing customer needs, and leading the weekly five-member sales and construction meetings. 5. Managed the performance and completion of all quality control inspections while experiencing extremes in construction time limits in relation to closing dates. 6. Developed standard operating procedures (SOP) for documentation of contract amendments. 7. Recognized weaknesses in the overall subdivision plan by analyzing budgets and spending, and taking the appropriate corrective action to eradicate the possibility of recurrence.

Had 60 houses under construction in three neighborhoods at once – with townhomes valued at $80K each to single-family units at $280K. 2. Established a foundational knowledge of project management, team work, customer service, product delivery, quality control, and interpersonal communication skills. 3. At age 23, became one of the youngest superintendents to pass the Building Code Certification Exam. 4. Trained new assistant superintendents until their promotion to superintendent. 5. Created an extremely efficient method of scheduling that I taught to newly hired superintendents who demonstrated a need for improvement in that area. 6. Received professional training in customer service, workplace Spanish, and scheduling.
