I joined Arctic Canada Construction to oversee the final stages of the Hay River Fire Hall Project. With approximately 2.5 months remaining for completion, I was entrusted with a significant amount of work, ranging from exterior site tasks and cladding to various interior elements such as drywall, millwork, and electrical installations. Upon successful completion of the project, I opted to explore other opportunities, feeling that the company's environment wasn't the ideal fit for my professional aspirations.

I joined BFI to contribute to the Warm Water Tanks project at CNRL Horizon, where we constructed impressive 50-foot high tank walls using the Peri forming system. My daily responsibilities encompassed crane rigging, as well as the assembly and disassembly of panels.Initially brought on board as a General Foreman for a specific project, I seamlessly transitioned to a carpenter role while awaiting the project's commencement. My adaptability and commitment to the role were evident throughout my tenure. Eventually, I pursued an opportunity as a Superintendent in Hay River, NWT, departing BFI with the goodwill and respect of senior management.

At Flatiron Construction, I played a pivotal role in two significant projects at CNRL:Cooling Tower Project ($30M): As the Foreman, I led a dedicated crew of over 20 professionals. My responsibilities spanned managing both earthworks and carpentry teams, overseeing scheduling, project management, and material procurement. A staunch advocate for safety, I chaired daily and weekly safety briefings, ensuring our team was well-versed with the safety standards set by both the client and our company. Our commitment to excellence was evident as we clocked over 8,000 man-hours without any lost time or injuries.Thickener Project ($80M): In January 2013, I transitioned to spearhead this ambitious project, managing a crew of over 40. My multifaceted role included obtaining necessary permits, collaborating closely with engineers on project scheduling, and ensuring daily on-site production targets were met. Safety remained a top priority, with regular safety meetings and continuous on-site safety monitoring. Throughout the project, our team consistently met and often surpassed our client's expectations.
