Within a week of moving to Israel, following the completion of my degree at the University of Manchester earlier in 2016, I returned to Twist Bioscience (the new parent company for Twist Bioscience Israel, formerly Genome Compiler) to join the team full-time.Twist Bioscience is a fast growing startup developing a disruptive synthetic DNA technology that is changing the world by enabling widespread healthcare and sustainability.At Twist I worked with Ruby on Rails and React.JS with Redux for a large ecommerce web application. I was one of the lead developers for the Ruby portion of the application and contributed heavily to the React side too. I was also our point of contact with DevOps consultants and worked on DevOps for my entire team.

Tendering for work through websites such as PeoplePerHour and Elance, I established a web development business. This involved learning to work with clients from different cultures, e.g. India-based Fundlined, American-based Magnetic Music Group and UK-based LittleBigBox.I have worked on everything from logo design to server setup and maintenance and I do everything in between.I love the internet and am passionate about building good websites which are designed using the latest technology.On the back-end, I have worked with PHP and MySQL (and MariaDB) extensively. On the front-end, I've worked with HTML and CSS both using the latest technology and supporting older browsers. I have also worked a lot with jQuery and JavaScript to ensure a strong user experience.

I developed functionality for the client-side in ActionScript targeting Flash and Air platforms and for the server-side in Ruby on Rails. I am maintained the new server infrastructure.

During my time at Genome Compiler I was given the opportunity to work with their groundbreaking product.I moved fast working on their website on the first day and their core product by the weekend (in a programming language I had not previously worked in). Within a few short weeks I spearheaded a server migration.

I launched ParTime student with two other partners in February 2014. This startup business is a recruitment website for students. I gained skills in various fields, including law, design, programming, SEO, marketing, negotiation and server administration. Our clients include Apple, Pizza Hut, Austin Reed, Karen Millen, Fossil and Calzedonia.I took on significant responsibilities at ParTime Student, ensuring the quality of the platform both in design and functionality and ensuring that it launched on time.
