Working under the direct supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team on an adolescent Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, I offer psychologically-informed support to young people with mental health issues in acute distress and/or with challenging behaviours. Completing, scoring, writing up, and feeding back psychometric assessments of service users’ mental health. Planning and facilitating therapeutic groups such as DBT-informed Coping Skills, Mindfulness, Psycho-education and Creative Expression. Planning and facilitating individual therapeutic sessions using CBT-informed and ACT-informed methods, as well as trauma psycho-education. Using compassion and empathy to form therapeutic relationships with service users.Contributing to clinical discussions regarding service users’ progress and behaviour.Utilising clinical supervision to discuss managing caseloads and emotive/difficult interactions with service users. Collating and analysing data pertaining to service users' incidents, as well as graphing the results.
