I'm Ben, a full-stack software engineer and recently a graduate of the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Computer Science with Distinction, majoring in Software Development (7.0 / 7.0 GPA). I am passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems and am excited to continue learning and growing in my career.During my last role at KPMG, I developed a proof-of-concept to digitize status reporting throughout delivery confidence engagements. This included requirements gathering, designing mockups, and developing a full stack web application using Azure, TypeScript, SvelteKit, MSSQL, Prisma, TailwindCSS, and Docker. This prototype enables near real-time tracking of project risks and tasks for clients and consultants, offers an analytics dashboard for engagement health assessments, and enables collaboration between consultants.My previous role was as a full stack application developer intern at Amazon Web Services within the Professional Services department. Throughout my role, I learned how to define a set of requirements from an ambiguous problem, and then use those requirements to build a full stack application that solves the customer's problem. I also got to learn more about the AWS cloud and how to build well-architected serverless applications.In my spare time, I love to build out my own personal projects. I have launched a few startups in the past. One of my startups, Torque Money, is a DeFi cryptocurrency leveraging application, and my second, Facture, is an online platform to help connect manufacturers with aspiring entrepreneurs.
