As a qualified educator with a background in both school and tertiary education, I bring a unique blend of business acumen and educational insight to my advisory work. Event CoordinatorThe Smith Family Dec 2008 - Jan 2010The Smith Family Christmas Appeal is one of the longest running charity events in Australia and each year involves the collection of hundreds of tons of food and toy donations, including those from individuals and corporations.In my role as Event Co-ordinator, my day to day tasks included the co-ordination of corporate charity partners who assisted with the Christmas appeal logistics (sorting, packing and shipping).Managing a team of 4 people, the appeal each year lead to the yearly 'delivery day' where thousands of food hampers for underprivileged families would be packed and delivered by volunteer drivers from the public.Additional tasks involved with this role included, liaising with all types of logistical providers (transport, storage, venue, food and beverage and OH+S), the safe induction of all volunteers coming on site, in addition to ensuring that volunteers had a fulfilling day with the Smith Family, while contributing real and applicable skills to the process.

Head CoachWilton Tennis Club Oct 2002 - Oct 2007The Wilton Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London invited me to tender for the contract of Head Coach in September, 2002. After being awarded the position, I went about the process of boosting their junior membership and coaching programme which at the time was around 50 children.Within 12 months, the coaching programme had grown by 200% and the club's revenue in all areas grew substantially with it.By mid, 2004 there were waiting lists on the majority of junior programmes and over 300 children receiving lessons on a weekly basis and a now thriving mid-week and 'Improver' lesson programme in place.Expanding outside of the club, relationships with local schools were formed that allowed for my team of eight to deliver tennis and sport lessons to thousands more children over the course of my tenure.In addition to running all aspects of the coaching programme, club management, membership liaising, tournament organisation and working with the All England Lawn Tennis Club were part of my regular role.

Head CoachCentre Court Jan 1998 - Apr 2002As one of the Head Coaches of the Ravenswood, School for Girls Tennis programme I was responsible for the organisation of over 500 tennis lessons delivered each week across three locations.In addition to this, I coached the elite 'Tildesley Shield' squad each year I was at the school, achieving a runner-up placing in 2001.Running the programme at Ravenswood allowed me to become proficient at managing a team, maintaining and growing a business while setting very high standards for myself and my staff on and off the court.
