I was fortunate enough to spend 17 wonderful years at the same independent high school performing a broad range of good work and taking full advantage of the opportunity to work and learn from some of the most brilliant educators in the field. I also got to experience the energy and excitement of working with a LOT of teenagers. I am looking to continue that pursuit, both individually and with an organization, to involve myself fully in a "workplace" that is truly more of a community.• I helped grow the institution, starting with a single computer lab running on AppleTalk with one computer in each office to a fully modern campus, supporting over 400 faculty and students with their individual technology and curricular needs.• I managed, implemented, and/or designed all technology related projects and systems for the school, from full 1:1 programs to individual assistive student technology, from networks to phone systems, from databases to vendor coordination.• My passion has always been making things work the best way they can for each person, keeping technology a tool and not a destination.• I also served as student advisor to groups of 8 - 12 students for 4 consecutive 4 year rotations.• I chaperoned multiple Habitat For Humanity and student overseas trips with teaching faculty, supported school events, involving myself fully in a "workplace" that is truly more of a community.
