Ben is a space entrepreneur, futurist, engineer, spacecraft architect, decentralized community enthusiast, product geek, and yogi. He founded LifeShip to spread the seeds of life to the stars. LifeShip is a participatory community space exploration movement saving a record of Earth in space with a vision towards sending people to space. LifeShip launched a first DNA Seed Bank, with DNA of 500 species and 1000 humans, to the International Space Station on a mission in partnership with NASA. LifeShip is on multiple exciting upcoming rockets to the Moon and beyond. Ben was an early engineer at Planet Labs where he designed and launched hundreds of imaging satellites into space to help Earth. Ben built a global network of dozens of big robotic telescopes around the world that are discovering new exoplanets. In grad school at UC Berkeley, Ben built instruments for Mars rover missions to look for life on the red planet. Ben was a professional cyclist, big wall rock climber, and ultra endurance athlete. He inspires with big goals and moonshot thinking. Yoga, meditation, dance, Burning Man, and journeys into the rainforest have been some of Ben's biggest teachers. Ben is eternally exploring and loves going way off-trail with his 10 year-old daughter, Luna.
