As a consultant in the DFW Metroplex, I continue to work with specialized companies on their technology footprint. Cloud services, CyberSecurity, communications, business process improvement, Saas, PaaS and other initiatives have been a large part of my portfolio. I have been working as a Product Manager for several SaaS platforms including Workforce Management, Event Registration and Scoring, Membership Management, and more.I'm fascinated by the ways in which AI, Machine Learning, Big Data and other emerging technology is being used to solve problems.

As the ownder of Vandelay Industries I had the privilege to work in a variety of roles for clients over a nearly two decade span. These included:CTO/CIO/CISO for numerous healthcare practices, responsible for working with the ownership and leadership teams to make and execute technology decisions. Responsible for financial modeling and performance and overall growth.Team and Project Manager for multiple complex projects, including premise-based migrations to Hybrid or Cloud/SaaS platforms, CyberSecurity initiatives, network and infrastructure upgrades, voice and data contract negotiation and management, and others.Technology team lead for implementation of complex systems in healthcare, manufacturing, legal, and financial verticals. Responsible for scoping and managing EMR, Security, ERP, CRM, Case Management and other business critical systems.Project Manager for State Government contracts and projects for multiple entities within the State of California. Projects included paperless initiatives, CA.mail migration, and other multi-domain projects.

ABI is a software company based in Sacramento, CA that has one of the coolest client lists in the world. Their software is designed to manage the workforce of some of the most dynamic employers in the country: professional sports and entertainment venues. They work with nearly all the major sports teams and arenas in the country, plus the biggest entertainment venues and companies. Working as the CTO for ABI was one of the most interesting times in my career. On any given day I would have the opportunity to work with groups from your favorite baseball team, getting ready for spring training, or with the venue putting on the giant rock concert, or with the NFL team getting ready to handle the MASSIVE influx of fans and employees for a playoff weekend. The absolute requirement for 100% uptime meant our technology stack had to be elastic, redundant, and reliable. Software projects included updating and fortifying agent based delivery systems, during which we were able to realize significant (30%+) savings on licensing costs. I had the opportunity to be part of the product delivery team for both infrastructure and software products. During my tenure, we migrated from a legacy stack to a modern Azure DevOps environment, and realized up to 300% performance gains in software with no other changes to hardware/virtual machines.Infrastructure projects included further hybridization of the network and server resources, reducing capitalization requirements by nearly 50%. I also had the opportunity to work with clients on their modernization initiatives, helping to deliver up to date hardware with increased security and utility.

As a systems engineer at GE, I had the opportunity to grow from what I thought was a pretty competent engineer into a much more mature and experienced individual. Working with some of the largest companies in the world, including GE internally, Levi Strauss, Cisco, HP, and the State of California exposed me to tools and methodologies that I carry with me to this day.My time at GE was during the real birth of "Web 2.0", e-commerce, enterprise collaboration and communications, truly useful LAN and WAN bandwidth, multimedia, video, and all manner of opportunity to design, implement, and support projects around every facet of the rapidly expanding world of accessible technology.I increased my networking skills, built the foundations of my storage and server knowledge, and, I think most importantly, built the beginnings of my own personal network of highly knowledgable and experienced individuals, many of whom I still keep in contact with today.
