These experiences have profoundly shaped my perspective, fueling a deep drive to find purpose and create meaning in both my life and work.One question occupied my thoughts: How do we best comfort and support those who grieve, and how do we prepare for our own inevitable mortality?This question led me to cofound Everly in 2020 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Everly PrePlanning: a comprehensive end-of-life planning service offering everything from pre-arranged travel logistics for families to grief care resources. This service ensured a customer’s loved ones were supported through thoughtful preparation both before and after a death.Through Everly, we sought to empower individuals and families to navigate one of life’s most challenging experiences with care, dignity, and support. Engagement DirectorFriends Of Mimosa Hall & Gardens Jan 2020 - Apr 2021Roswell, Georgia, UsHeadline: For Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens, I interviewed all 14 board members, as well as the City of Roswell Historic Assets Manager, to craft a full revision of their business plan that will guide their fundraising and operational plans until 2025.--I was excited to gain a client referral from Rep. Robichaux to the Roswell-based Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens because of their emphasis on creating the future meeting ground for Roswell, Georgia.While there, I delivered a 5-year business plan incorporating a 3-phased response to COVID-19, as well as a related Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Roswell, to govern the details and responsibilities of our shared efforts to progress Mimosa Hall and Gardens into becoming Roswell’s meeting ground for arts, discourse, culture, music, and food.I helped modernize our operations through the creation of multiple strategic tools, including a 2021 Seasonal Activity Plan and a 2021 Seasonal Fundraising Plan, and I consulted the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors on long- and short-term planning.Some of the tools I created along the way have included task management software, CRM solutions, and a Master Index of Online Documents and Resources.Finally, I regularly supported the Communications Director by reviewing and editing monthly newsletters, press releases, meeting agendas, etc. -
Director Of Communications And Constituent Engagement / Lead Field OrganizerThe Office Of Mary Robichaux, Ga House Of Representatives (Hd-48) / Elect Mary Robichaux Oct 2018 - Jan 2020Headline: For Rep. Mary Robichaux, I instituted a social media and email campaign that increased participation from 7 to 20+ people per event, tripling her canvassing reach and resulting in her election into the Georgia House of Representatives.--I recently made my first career foray into the world of politics when I was recruited to be the Field Organizer for the Elect Mary Robichaux Campaign. By communicating daily to our supporter base via Facebook, Twitter, and email, I raised attendance at Team Mary volunteer events by approximately 250-300%, which evidenced itself in the increase of our active canvassing teams, each with 2-4 people, from within the range of 2-3 per event up to 7-8 per event. I participated in daily strategy and planning calls with the campaign manager and the candidate herself. We won our election against the incumbent, flipping Georgia's 48th district, by 162 votes.Rep. Robichaux invited me to join her office after our successful work together during her 2018 campaign to be the House Representative for Georgia's 48th District. I was responsible for her office's social media postings, weekly/biweekly newsletter publication, coordination of public forums and panels, and general constituent engagement. To further these goals, I joined Rep. Robichaux and her Chief of Staff at the Georgia Capitol daily during the legislative session to attend caucus meetings, committee meetings, and legislative sessions.

Career Counselor / Adjunct ProfessorGeorgia State University Oct 2015 - May 2018Atlanta, Ga, UsHeadline: For the Robinson College of Business, I created a student ambassador program that directed 100+ students annually into volunteer roles, and empowering a 16-student cohort to promote our workshops and programming to thousands of students.--I joined the world-class Career Advancement Center of the Robinson College of Business in October 2015. Each school year, I taught a Business Communication Lab that reached approximately 1500 students, broken down to 600-650 students each fall and spring semester, plus an additional 200-300 students between our Maymester and summer semester. Teaching this Lab included leading 4 two and a half hour classes reaching as many as 200 students at a time, as well as coordinating a total of 6 assignments and up to 10 workshops and events each fall and spring semester. Two events I coordinated in the spring 2016 semester, a "Resume Review with Employers" and a "Mock Interview with Employers" brought in over 100 students each, and between 7 and 11 recruiters from a range of well-known employers like Target, GA Pacific, GEICO, State Farm, etc. -
FounderHob Nob, Llc Nov 2006 - Nov 2012UsHeadline: As cofounder of Hobnob, I brought students together to answer a question we all struggle with – “Where do I go from here?”, founding our flagship chapter on Emory’s campus before ultimately licensing our career curriculum to career centers from Emory University to UC Irvine.--I launched Hobnob to help students find and follow their callings. We accomplished this through a curriculum that helps students identify high-potential career paths through a series of facilitator-led discussion-oriented classes.Our team established marquis relationships with schools (Emory University, UC Irvine, and many metro Atlanta high schools), for-profits (Kaplan Test Prep and the Scholarship Academy, among others), and non-profits (Year Up, the Ryan Cameron Foundation, and Broken Voices). I recruited and worked with (a) contractors in the fields of graphic design, web development, sales, and curriculum development, (b) contributing industry leaders (including 6-10 guest speakers per school semester and Hobnob's 10-12 person advisory board), and (c) participating students (5 campus leaders per school semester and several generations of interns). I successfully negotiated recurring donations from well-known restaurants (like Starbucks, Panera Bread, Papa John's Pizza, Mellow Mushroom Pizza, Willy's California Style Burritos, and Einstein Bros.
