Creating a team from the ground up to monitor, maintain and optimize data flow for 1.3 million metersand the supporting network. Developing operating procedures, organizational structure, and facilitiesfor ongoing operations of the Meter Operations Center.· Created the vision for and developed a data model, database infrastructure (Oracle and SQL databases),reporting and analytics foundation critical to monitoring and billing for customer’s energy usage.

Generation Data Analytics Service: Designed and coordinated developed of data warehouse to wrangle, explore and model 60TB of sensor data utilizing PostgreSQL, Spark, and Python. · Developed a data analytics service for the power stations to improve equipment reliability, performance and financial decision making. · Created the vision, coordinated, and developed a digital product, AGENT, which integrates 17 disparate data sources (Oracle, SQL, etc), critical to Generation Engineering, enabling a one-stop-shop user experience. Built many ETL / SSIS packages and several SSAS tabular models. The 72 Power BI and SSRS dashboards created reduced time spent searching for work orders, cycle chemistry KPIs, alarm management, financial optimization, and drawings. (See Power Magazine publication below.)· Built predictive models in R and Python to support reliability initiatives, using random forest, k-means clustering, Natural Language Processing.· Python experience performing exploratory data analysis and machine learning models leveragingpandas, sklearn, keras, other libraries as well as TensorFlow and Spark.Condenser Reliability Program:• Deferred millions of dollars in condenser expenses beyond the current budget planning cycle through analysis inspection results.• Developed a fleet-wide program to determine and execute condenser maintenance and operations best practices. Worked with industry experts, vendors and generating station proponents to determine best practices and compare them to current practices. Flow-Accelerated Corrosion Program:• Developed a fleet-wide Flow-Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) inspection program, that included FAC education and awareness sessions, analysis, planning and execution at each of the 6 generation stations.Knowledgeable in equipment reliability, boiler reliability, cycle chemistry and root cause failure analysis.

• Created an instructor excellence program that increased the frequency of the highest grade on external evaluations by 9%.• Awarded Navy Achievement Medal by the Secretary of the Navy for organizing an annual career fair with eight different commands across the country in support of attendance by 21 representatives from 13 officer communities.• Program manager for career critical Fitness Assessments, medical, administrative documentation for over 227 staff. Managed the Physical Readiness and Enhancement program for 4000+ students.• Responsible for $140,000 in training of new junior officers to instruct prospective plant operators. • Increased divisional command support through the inspiration of the division to become program managers for the staff graduate school, student physical fitness, safety drill, public affairs and internal audit programs. • Developed the mathematics enhancement program more effectively utilizing $480,000 of man hours.

Instructed 315 mechanical, electrical and reactor operators with a 95% successful course completion rate.• Managed 20 classes of reactor plant, steam plant, and electrical plant operators who will be charged with standing watch throughout the Navy’s nuclear powered fleet.• Ranked in the top 10% among peers at Navy Nuclear Power Training Command. • Awarded 2010 “Instructor of the Quarter” for technical expertise and presentation quality in integrated nuclear power systems• Developed teaching methods, training aids and a program to share these developments with instructors.• Completed vigorous initial and quarterly training examinations in order to maintain technical proficiency in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Control.• Supervised the printing, accountability, administration, and destruction of over 3,900 classified exams.• Conducted a night study hall to assist up to 100 students with mathematics, reactor plant theory and technology.
