Production Engineering Manager
CurrentResponsibilities:1) PDM System Implementation and Management:-Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Product Data Management (PDM) system (Arena) within the company.-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the PDM system across engineering and production departments.-Develop and maintain general operating procedures (SOPs) related to PDM processes.2) Product Lifecycle Management:-Oversee product management throughout the entire lifecycle, from development to end-of-life phases (including electrical, mechanical, and optical components).-Work closely with development departments to create a comprehensive product portfolio.3) Key activities include:-Bill of Materials (BOM) Construction: Ensure accurate BOMs considering UL, REACH, and RoHS standards.-Verification and Validation (V&V) Support: Assist in V&V testing processes.-Assembly Documentation: Write clear assembly instructions.-Testing and Packaging: Coordinate product testing and packaging efforts.4) Collaboration with Subcontractors:-Engage with subcontractors for product definition, production, assembly, and inspection.-Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.-Address production line issues, including failure analysis and corrective actions.5) Change Management:-Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed.-Ensure timely and accurate updates to product components.6) Process Validation:-Define, document, and lead process validation activities.-Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.7) Component Replacement:-Identify replacement components for items that have reached their End of Life (EOL) or become obsolete.-Qualifications:-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and related field.-Proven experience in product management, PDM systems, and cross-functional collaboration.-Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
