There, he witnessed his father building friendships with customers, which ingrained in him the values of excellent customer service, hard work, and doing right by friends and neighbors.In 1993, Beni and his family moved to the United States. His first job was washing dishes, and he took to heart his father's favorite quote from Martin Luther King Jr.: "If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.'" He transitioned from washing dishes to working in banking, selling luxury cars, and eventually owning a Non-Emergency Transportation company for disabled individuals.
