As a Datacenter Operations Technician, I am responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of our data center infrastructure. My role includes troubleshooting hardware and network issues, and performing routine checks to keep optimal environmental conditions. I decommission equipment, respond to incident alerts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs. My technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standards are essential in maintaining data center performance and uptime.- Oversee and Maintain Data Center Equipment:Responsible for ensuring the smooth and constant operation of all servers, network hardware, and other essential systems, performing regular inspections and upkeep as necessary.- Diagnose and Solve Hardware and Network Issues:Tasked with identifying, analyzing, and rectifying hardware and network problems, liaising with other technical teams to swiftly minimize downtime and preserve excellent performance.- Retire Hardware:In charge of dismantling server and network equipment as required, ensuring all modifications are documented and appropriately logged following internal procedures and policies.- React to Incident Alerts: Promptly address any alarms or notifications, escalating problems when needed to uphold data center performance standards.- Cooperate with Cross-Functional Teams:Coordinate with network engineers, systems administrators, and security teams to guarantee data center infrastructure aligns with business needs.- Adhere to Safety and Security Standards:Comply with industry regulations and company policies for physical security, including access control and surveillance.

During the internship I participated in: - Deployment of applications in virtualized environments, both in local testing environment on Hyper-V and VMware and in Azure for production environment. - Use and installation of operating systems such as RHEL8 and Windows Server. - Use of IR and EDR tools to collect and analyze security events. - Basic bash/python scripting to develop integration solutions between tools using their respective APIs.
