As an Area Manager, I had operational responsibility, including training, hiring and firing, for managing and leading an area of up to 6 stores. As a Direct and Personnel Leader to over 100 employees, it was my duty to provide appropriate coaching and support in order for them to reach their potential. This included constant supervision of the store management teams to ensure Key Performance Indicators were being met, including:- Ensuring inventory procedures are in place to account for all costs and revenue in each store. - Setting achievable targets for sales, growth, customer service, staff retention, store compliance, product availability, store orderliness, productivity and overall area wastage. - HR management responsibility, including recruitment, training, transfers, development, promotion and dismissal.- Determining the handling of accidents and customer complaints within the area.In this role I have also gained a wealth of experience in project management. I was an integral part of the team which focused on the management of Christmas 2017, which was one of the business' most successful to date.

We took charge of the creation and realisation of the event ourselves, including designing and producing t-shirts, managing ticket sales and negotiating with bars and clubs.
