I have finished my Chemical Engineering degree at Swansea University, and I am currently seeking acareer within process development. I have experience as I spent a year working at in the R&Ddepartment of a paper and packaging facility. I love working with complex systems where I canexperiment and tweak the process to maximise certain parameters while minimising cost. I can workon my own or as part of a team. I am organised and efficient and can deliver high results in achallenging environment.Work Experience:Process Development Researcher – FiberLean (September 2021):• Completed one year of full-time employment with FiberLean as part of my university degree• Worked with lab and pilot scale grinders to produce Micro Fibrillated Cellulose (MFC)• Researched different grinder operating conditions to maximise the tensile strength of the MFC produced while minimising the amount of energy required• Worked in the testing lab which tested many of the samples produced in the main plant as well as those made at pilot and lab scales• Presented my results to my boss and the rest of the research and development department by both in person meetings and online Teams meetings• Discovered my passion for process development and asking questions that no one had thought to ask which led to a deeper understanding of the process• Created the highest recorded tensile strength MFC using a newly theorised production process and have laid down the foundations for further future improvementsFormal Training Courses – FiberLean (September 2020):While working for FiberLean I completed several training courses, these include:• Take 5 1 day course (8th September 2020)• LOTOTO (Lock Out Tag Out Try Out) 1 day course (9th September 2020)• Manual Handling 1 day course (28th September 2020)• BBS (Behavioural Based Safety) 1 day course (7th October 2020)• IOSH Working Safely 1 day course (13th November 2020)Skills:• Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and Zoom, as well as more complex software such as AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop• Adept at maths and able work with software such as Desmos, Excel and MATLAB to find patterns and fit equations to sets of data• Taught myself programming in Python, Java, C and URCL - plus several Assembly languages• Created a new programming language called URCL and I am responsible for maintaining its documentation• Built multiple CPUs which have been able to calculate Pi, render 3D shapes as well as the Mandelbrot fractal• Taught myself how compilers and code optimisers work and wrote a B code compiler for URCL
