I graduated from the Leeds Dental Institute in 1997 and subsequently completed vocational training in a mixed practice. Following this, I gained experience in several practices before establishing a successful NHS dental practice in 2005, which I was practice principal and owner until its sale in September 2022.Throughout my career, I have prioritised continuous professional development, attending numerous courses with particular interests in restorative dentistry, aligners, endodontics, and facial aesthetics.For 14 years, I served as an educational supervisor, embracing the challenges and growth opportunities it presented. Additionally, I've acted as a mentor for HEENW and Dental Mentors UK, and as a DPASS Facilitator for Lancashire LDC. In these capacities, I've leveraged my experience and knowledge to support colleagues facing challenges and guide them in overcoming obstacles.Currently, I hold the position of Dental Adviser for NHS Professional Standards in the North West Region. I remain committed to staying abreast of the latest advancements in dentistry by regularly attending relevant courses to update my knowledge and skills. Additionally, I am currently studying for an ILM Level 7 in Management Coaching and Mentoring.
