I am currently running a public house and an online food delivery brand. I am learning more about myself and the business world on a daily basis.

As a Store Manager within a Tesco Express store, my role covers a varied spectrum of tasks every day. I am the single go to person in store for all Payroll queries, I deal with legal pricing issues, compliance and legislation, fire alarm tests and evacuation drills, epos system updates and cash handling procedures. I work in a team of 20 colleagues and provide direction and support to them with their roles at Tesco. I recruit, develop, discipline and dismiss across our region as part of my role. I provide support and cover to other stores and coach & develop colleagues throughout my daily tasks. My role includes completion of visual merchandising standards for promotion changes as well as daily checks for legal label compliance. I strive to achieve high standards so my shoppers have an enjoyable visit every time they visit my store.

Based in Telford, Shropshire I also covered the Wolverhampton store for 12 months. Led the trial format for customers to make their own lollies and chocolate bars in store. Visual Merchandiser for the region to aid with promotion changes and new plans roll out.

Initially based in Shrewsbury running an ex Bakers Oven cafe I was offered a busier stand alone store in Telford. My job role included placing orders, stock taking, cash handling, sandwich production and baking of goods. Training and development of existing team and recruitment & selection of new team members. Health & Safety compliance, legal paperwork and adherence to company standards.
