As a service-based department, we assist users in setting up various pieces of technical equipment and provide support and assistance in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Work includes updating, upgrading, and servicing computers as well as managing veterinary information systems.

Full-Time. Moving into a second consecutive internship with Swinerton meant taking on more responsibilities on project management. While still grinding out submittals and RFI’s, additional duties included in-depth estimating, subcontractor outreach, scheduling, material procurement, and additional pre-construction activities. I also dove into my first look at cost controls.

Work included but was not limited to issuing RFIs and submittals, performing material verifications and first-work inspections, coordinating with subcontractors and deliveries, and building logistics plans specific for Denver International Airport. Additional experience included running jobsite meetings and updating COVID-countermeasures.

Full-time. Work included, but was not limited to, weighing trucks on a scale with corresponding paperwork and sampling of grain, maintaining large electric motors, loading and maintaining barges, logging levels of grain in facility bins, and maintaining/operating on-site equipment such as pickups, forklifts, and tractors.

Full-time. Work included city park upkeep, channel cleaning and grouting, logging and replacing water meters, locating and fixing water lines, road-patching with both hot and cold mixes, street-sweeping, and controlling vegetation along river edges and channel.

Lacrosse, Wa

Full-time. Work included servicing large machinery and trucks as well as operating those vehicles used to transport grain. Other duties included backpack spraying for weeds over an area amassing to 400 acres, tending to livestock (i.e. cows, sheep, horses), and bucking 120lb+ alfalfa hay bales.
