So after spending 2.5 years on the east side of the Hudson, I moved over to its west side. My job title has the word engineer in it, but I am by no means an engineer. I work in customer support and spend most of my day resolving tickets. I provide support for a core banking application, where I recreate, debug, and resolve problems with its software. I work primarily in an AIX environment where I've become comfortable with the Unix CLI, and with Windows application servers where I've become familiar with application pools, registry updates, SSL keys, and web services. With the guidance of a DBA, I can run select SQL statements against a DB2 relational database.
