Group Ehs Manager
I currently oversee all business departments ensuring legislative compliance. I also created the EHS&Q Integrated Management System to assist our employees with reaching Objectives and Targets. I sit amongst the Senior Management Team (SMT) ensuring my role in implementing the EHS Strategic Plan is clearly communicated and achieving its desired results. Whilst there is a high degree of strategic planning in my role, there is also the Operational aspect. I lead the team with knowledge sharing activities, constant and clear communication. I ensure any incident investigations are completed and any actions are followed up. I oversee all Reportable incidents and work to try and mitigate reoccurrence. I am responsible for the companies training register and scheduling. I have created the Minimum Training Requirements (MTR’s) for each position description as this will ensure the companies Due Diligence for its workplace procedures and its workforce. I believe my role is a supportive role and should add value each day. I also spend time helping our Post Completion team in establishing a system to create checks and balances whilst monitoring any subcontractors that are used to complete works. I take part in the Design Out Our Risk (DOOR) process, I will also attend potential sites for an inspection and review assessments. I lead the Corporate Governance and Risk strategic team and lead the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) strategic team to assist piety in remaining a high-performance organisation. I lead the sustainability department for Piety and work very closely with our Innovation team to ensure capable particle initiatives can & are implemented in the business. I also assist with running the HR and training for the business, ensuring all Minimum Training Requirements (MTR’s) are achieved for each position description and handle any personal complaints. Ehs&Q General Manager
Key functions to this role are to maintain a leadership role to ensure commitment to the PBS EHS Policy and EHS&Q plan. Have final approval of all EHS&Q template system revisions and all related EHS&Q forms. Conduct regular review compliance through internal audits for continued success in outperforming benchmarks. Have ownership of the training requirements to ensure all employee's are adequately trained to perform their roles within the project EHS&Q Plan. Train and mentor EHS&Q staff. Regularly liaise with PBS Building General Managers in each state to communicate issues in maintaining consistency across all operations. Review all incident documentation provided and sign off final incident reports. Responsibility for EHS corporate budget and forecasting. Responsible for the implementation of the EHS&Q strategic plan. Contribute to the EHS&Q investment into mobile technologies with the primary focus in achieving systems compliance and increase efficiencies, consistencies and productivity across the PBS Construction business. Apply initiatives to improve culture enhancement. Maintain all Company 3rd party system certifications & accreditations. Monthly report communicated to the Board on EHS goal and objectives through consultation with senior management, also enhance on what already exists at PBS a positive commitment to people getting home safely each day across our Building projects.
Ehs Manager
Support the Construction Manager and General Foreman in driving EHS performance on the project by identifying trends and compliance issues and assisting the Construction Manager and General Foreman in identifying and implementing initiatives designed to drive performance and prevent reoccurrence. Provide support and guidance to the construction team in adhering to the Legislative requirements, GMRs, Means and Methods and the EMS System.Assist the CM / project teams in investigating all HiPos and LTI’s ensuring that all root causes are identified. Ensure that the summary of these are reviewed immediately with the Regional EHS Manager as requested or required. Ensure that the timelines are followed in the Incident Management Flowchart.Conduct regular reviews of work activities against SWMS and assist the Foreman and Package Managers in identifying any shortfalls or changes required.Assist the GF in ensuring the safety committee is active and responsible.Review all registers regularly to ensure all items are captured including plant, hazardous material, etc.Assist the project team in identifying, writing and closing out P1’s on the project and ensure all Actuals (A1 & A2) are reportedMonitor the implementation of environmental and sustainability requirements for the project.Assist the project team by providing technical expertise and advise to allow them to comply with their EHS responsibilities.Support the project team in ensuring that all paperwork and documentation required is requested at an early stage to ensure that the program for the project is not affected.Assist the Project Engineers in understanding their EHS requirements during the procurement stage.Promote a positive team environment and a collaborative approach to problem solving.Implement Frontline Leadership training nationally when required.Train supervisors in Conduct Local Risk Control (CLRC) and Issue Work Permits (IWP) across ACT and Southern NSW Lendlease Sites.
