CurrentOverall Project Hypothesis: Dantrolene provides neuroprotection in Alzheimer's disease cells and animal models. • Cell Culture: Culture cell line, ReNcells, iPSCs from Alzheimer patients, and Neuroblastoma cells, change respective medium, subculturing and freezing cells. • Designed experiments to test dantrolene efficacy between various toxicity factors related to Alzheimer’s Disease, for instance, glutamate, amyloid beta protein and APOE4. Also, to observe dantrolene and lithium treatment from SARS-covid toxicity including S1 and S2 protein. • Laboratory Assays: MTT assay for cell viability and Agilent Seahorse XF ATP Real-Time rate assay to measure oxygen consumption. Genotyping mouse tails. • Analyzed raw data using GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Excel, and Seahorse Analytics • Present to receive feedback that was used in future experiments.• Managed mouse colonies: Maintain breeding, genotyping, and inventory organization. • Journal club: PowerPoint presentation of research papers
