In this role I served as a Lean Coach for the company, providing consulting and facilitation services for a variety of operational, transactional, and management teams (primarily in the finance and learning/development departments) as we sought to apply Lean-based tools and problem solving.

I also teach classes on a variety of analytical and consulting topics in a company-wide forum.

Acted as thought leader within the consultant and analyst community by teaching classes, chairing analyst forums, and sitting on the board of the largest informal analyst education group at Humana. Led in expanding the use of proven business analysis tools at all levels of the organization.

Interpreted international electricity and natural gas supplier contracts in the context of local regulations.  Recalculated invoices for clients, and resolved discrepancies by contacting and negotiating with suppliers and utilities.  Assisted other departments by solving billing problems or resolving client questions and problems. Explained complex markets and procedures to people with little to no experience in the area.

Assisted senior staff by researching, analyzing, and providing recommendations in regard to unorthodox problems and projects. Developed a risk analysis group, participated in building a long term strategic growth plan, oversaw 2 summer interns, researched various business trends and products, and carried out analysis projects.

Supported a team lobbying for hospitals in the state of Michigan. Completed in-depth legal research, created power point presentations, organized large events, and created policy summary documents for advocacy staff.
