(Formerly: Human Factors Specialist)Applied Human Factors and user experience (UX) research to support the development of safe, effective, and satisfying medical devices. Responsibilities included:- Planning, conducting and analyzing early-stage user research studies, leveraging methods including: observations, contextual inquiry, interviews, focus groups, diary studies, and co-creation sessions.- Developing personas, experience maps, user needs, user profiles, use environment descriptions based on robust research.- Planning, conducting, analyzing, and documenting formative and validation usability tests.- Conducting expert reviews of device and UI prototypes to provide design recommendations and mock-ups.- Supporting risk analysis, task analysis, and known problems analysis documentation. - Developing recruiting screeners and coordinating with market research firms to recruit participants for research studies.Providing Human Factors support for devices including: Robotic-assisted surgery systems, flexible endoscopes, diabetes management systems, home-use injection devices, and cardiac monitor/defibrillators.
