The paper illustrated on a concrete example the innovative field of index based freight contracts and risk minimization instruments.- Additionally worked in the fields of international trade, supply chain management, client advisory, customs clearance and logistics IT-applications.

As a trainee within the Corporate Sourcing Department for cross-company sourcing strategies and projects my tasks were as follows:- Supporting the development, execution and implementation processes of optimisation projects within the sourcing department.- Collaborating with trade group management for indirect material for the "Shared Service Centre" field, with the aim of reducing the volume of tasks and optimising the acquisitions process.- Creation and editing of evaluations from several data bank systems.- Independent maintenance of interfaces between the "Shared Services Centre" and "IT Purchases" fields - contribution to the optimisation of the Spend Management System.- Working in close collaboration with a logistics consultancy, specialized in sourcing and SCM solutions

- Supporting the development process of student group's case studies- Instructing the work teams and support the groups as a consultant- Co-operating in the approval and assessment of group presentations- Supporting the professor in his lectures and group meetings

FOSS supports and provides accurate, rapid and dedicated analytical solutions, which control and analyse the production and quality of agricultural, pharmaceutical, food and chemical products, to the enhancement of the customers’ business. Today, 85% of the world’s milk production, 80% of grain traded on the world market and 75% of the world’s beer production is tested using FOSS analytical solutions. FOSS is a privately-owned company employing almost 1150 people worldwide.Responsible for two projects regarding key performance indicators for the sales managers in the Asia/Pacific Region: - Indicators include opportunity values, profitability of sales leads and opportunity-duration figures.- Data was collected through self-developed reports and analysis of current reporting structure. - Held presentations to the management board.Also assisted the team on a daily basis:- Provided support for the sales- and instrument managers throughout Australia.- Assisted product management, presentations and demonstrations for prospective customers.
