MultiCare health has a focus on primary care, specialty care, and urgent care clinics serving Auburn, Kent, Covington and Maple Valley in Washington State. I completed a new grad residency program focusing on building a framework for new nurses. This includes 3 months of education looking at innovative evidenced-based practice and time shadowing an experienced nurse in the field. I had the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a busy Medical Intensive care unit (MICU). I was able to move into a Charge Nurse role and promote a team environment by effectively identifying needs of other staff and assisting them.
