President/FounderMicrogy And Byogy Renewables 2000 - 2008Benjamin founded both Microgy and Byogy Renewables. As President of Microgy he identified and negotiated a license to a proprietary Danish biogas technology and helped take the company public through a merger with Environmental Power Corporation. With this license Microgy developed biogas plants in Wisconsin and Texas, including the Huckabee Ridge plant near Stevensville that at the time in 2007 was the largest anaerobic digester facility in the world. In 2008, Benjamin formed Byogy Renewables who subsequently formed a strategic partnership with Texas A&M University with a license to commercialize an integrated platform of bio/thermo-chemical biomass conversion technologies to make liquid transportation fuels as "drop-in" substitutes.
