CurrentResponsible for advancing Preservation North Carolina's mission and ensuring its long-term success and sustainability. In addition to overseeing the organization’s operations and programs the position is responsible for securing funding, marketing, human resource activities, community outreach, and requires knowledge of historic preservation laws, incentives, and programs, especially as they relate to the acquisition and resale of real property with protective covenants and to obtaining and monitoring preservation easements through its renowned Endangered Properties Program. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors, leads a staff of ten individuals, multiple part-time staff, and multiple volunteers, and manages an annual budget of approximately $2 million.
