My name is Benjamin Broinowski. I was born in Sydney, Australia in 1996. I grew up in Vaucluse and went to school at Cranbrook School. I have completed a Degree in Design majoring in Photography at the University Of Technology Sydney. Photography has always been an important part of my life. As someone who struggles with learning and memory deficits, photos provide a concrete way for me to permanently capture and subsequently navigate my environment. I first started experimenting with photography in Year 10, while taking a photography and digital media class at school. Photography provides me with a vehicle through which I can convey my ideas and unique perspective, allowing me to express myself creatively. It allows me to engage with the world around me in a practical way, and I like the hands-on and kinaesthetic aspects of manipulating my environment to capture it visually, and to capture candid, fleeting moments in time. My hobbies include photography, working on IT projects, listening to music and travelling to new places to experience diverse environments and cultures. My two favourite styles of photography are fashion and street photography. My ultimate goal is to work as a photographer.
